Team Alba eSports (usually abbreviated to ALBA) is an European eSports organization based in West Lothian, Scotland,United Kingdom. They have one Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster and one Rainbow Six Siege.

History[]

ALBA were founded by Callum "StunneR" Stirling & Ewan "Prodigy" Tait on 15th April 2017 as a group of players who played a variety of games since late 2016. One day after ALBA were founded, a CSGO team was introduced and brought into the world of eSports in early 2018.

ALBA introduced a new logo on October 16th, 2018.

European Amateur Counter Strike League ( EACL)[]

The EACL was created in Spring 2018 and invited 16 teams which were split into 2 divisions, playoffs were created for 4 teams into a double elimination.

A Pre-Season was setup to decide the division structure, ALBA's first match was against Furicade eSports, ALBA were defeated 16-2 on de_mirage. ALBA then went on to win against Firewolf eSports, Betrayal eSports INViiTA eSports & Team Impious.

EACL were closed to due staffing and team matching

Amateur Counter-Strike League (ACL)[]

ACL were created by Aviators.CS members and invited teams from EACL & new teams. Teams were split into Groups A-D with ALBA being in Group A

ALBA defeated their first Opponent, Aviators.CS Academy 16-14 on de_cache.

Their next match was Sentic eSports (Previously known as Fanta eSports) which ALBA lost 16-11. However Casters, viewers & Admins of ACL were sceptical of Sentic player,Flare, after numerous accounts of tracking movement through walls. After Flare announced about previous times of Cheating and Smurfing, Flare was eventually banned from the ACL and ALBA were given the win by default.

ALBA had made it through to the playoffs but came short of a 16-2 loss by Scrubcakes.

E-mpire eSports League (EEL)[]

In May 2018, ALBA participated in the qualifiers for the E-mpire Esports League Season 2. They lost 16-3 to DEFY Gaming in their opening game, and also lost 16-0 to Team Toast. The results meant their were unable to progress to the main event.

Ignis League[]

ALBA were one of the few UK based teams participating in the first season of the Ignis League, and they were seeded in Group B of of the 4 groups.

ALBA defeated Rusty Samurai's 16-12 on de_cache. And retained another victory against Avaitors.CS 16-13 on de_cache, Making them have a 2-0 lead

ALBA made it to the Quarter-Finals, before being defeated 2-0 by Dezire.

Starting on August 9th, 2018, the CSGO roster participated in the second season of the Ignis League, and were placed in Group 1.

Playoffs[]

ALBA managed to pass the Group Stages by winning their last match, and progressing through to Playoffs in a 3-2 Lead.

ALBA were put against Versatile in their first Playoff Match which ended in a 2-0 Lead to ALBA, letting them pass in a strong manner towards the Semi Finals. The Semi Finals they were met up against their long-term Rival Freshfox.GG in which they had lost every single match to them prior. They managed to pull through a long 3 Map Match with 1 Match resulting in 3 Overtimes. They won the trio of maps in a lead of 2-1 with a close call on the last map.

Team Alba made it to the final against GRiM where they pummelled through Cache and Mirage and brought the final to an end with a 2-0 Lead.

ALBA Academy[]

On Friday 18th May, ALBA Academy was launched to provide a safe environment for players to improve their skill in a wide variety of games, Players who show great potential would be brought up to a roster and compete in amateur leagues.
